Last visit to the duck pond in 2007

I went to the duck pond this afternoon to try out my new lens. Well, it ain's so big and heavy...at least not on the tripod!

It was overcast and the late afternoon sun just didn't peak out. I was hoping it would. Instead, after about 20 minutes, I felt a reeel light mist, so I packed up and went home.

Here are a few of the better ones.
All images were sharpened a little and cropped for 8X10 format. Why? Heck if I know.

All pics shot with Canon 20D w/Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 + 1.4xTC (420mm) ISO 400, AV mode @ F/4-4.5

Edit: Looks like 1 was shot at ISO 800, and a couple were actually shot in manual with the pop up flash (which didn't do any good for creating a catchlight in the eyes).

Mike, Nice variety of critters in the pond. I like the motion in the last shot with the drops flying everywhere. That is a cool capture!
