Oh no! More Flowers!!! (Nikon D-80) - 07-27-2008, 08:59 PM

Heh... I went to the FW Botanical Gardens today with my gf... Had a lot of fun. Shot some with a Sigma 18-50 with a Raynox 250 attached, others were shot with my Nikon 18-200VR. Both lenses seemed to work nicely for closeup macro work, although I'd love to get a dedicated macro lens sometime in the near future. No PP yet, just the native stuff :)

This flower was being grazed upon :) (I cropped this one)

Looked like it was on fire. As hot as it was, it might have been :)

Looiked like a ginormus red caterpillar...

Gosh, that's a huge variety of flowers. My favorite photo is the one that "looks like it's on fire." It really does.

Looks like a great place to go. Do they have signs or anything identifying what everything is? I don't have a clue to what most of those are.

There are SOME signs, but they're about 60-80% complete. And I'm a guy, so I don't always do the best job of lookng at signs... Too many shiny things to distract me :)
