The big cats were what got me interested in wildlife photography awhile back.
I did alot of traveling in Florida when I lived there capturing these fine animals.When I moved back to houston,I discovered how much Herman Park Zoo had to offer.Here are my best shots of 2008.Thanks for looking.

I had no idea we could get these in our zoo here. Its been along time since I've been and then it was a watch em pace back and forth in cage kinda deal. The zoo is now on my list and thanks for sharin

Thanks everyone.The action shots were all taken within a few seconds with my d200 and the 80-400 f/4.5,The rest with the 200-400 f/4 vr.
These tigers are brothers and have been together at the zoo for awhile.As they aged,they were less tolerent of each other and Herman Park Zoo is exchanging one of them with the Chicago Zoo for a female.Maybe we will get to see some cubs in a couple years.
