I walked 40 acre lake to the bridge and back!

On the road driving into the park!


A Red-bellied Woodpecker on a Tallow tree starting the trail from the 40 acre lake restroom!

I was there for a bit Wednesday too. Perfect weather. Saw the deer as I was leaving, but I had to run. Nice stuff. Dennis' Sandhills were out in the burnt fields too. Even 600mm wasn't enough for them....

Will, I love that Green-winged Teal! What a beautiful little duck. You are fast. I never can get a shot at the deer when I'm driving in. They move faster than me.

I was out there wed. morning and saw the Bittern and G W Teal. Good job on both of them! I got the bittern but the teal was across the pond and too far away for me.
