Almost an Aggie - 03-19-2009, 01:11 PM

I photographed this "Blue"bonnet this morning at Mercer Arboretum. I also photographed the Aggie Bluebonnet as well. If there are any Aggie fans you might want to venture to Mercer. So where are the Uof H bluebonnets?

Sony Alpha 700, Minolta Alpha 700, Gitzo 3540LS tripod, cable release, silver sided reflector, f/8 (wanted to use f/11 but too much showing in the background, natural lighting

Wonderful image, Therese. Those dew drops really make the shot, IMO.

Hey Jim, thanks for the kind words! I had a feeling you had done something very unusual at BBSP (-this guy gave me a hint). Hope you've been doing well!

Another beautiful image Therese, the water drops and touch of spider web add to this image. It looks like a little tiny spider might be on there too but I can not tell for sure. The colors really work on this one.

Therese, good job. I sometimes fail to look at the flowers in search of birds and you remind m of what I probably missed.

That's a beautiful pink color and I love the dew. My only nit would be the dark blue in the corner. Is that a blue bluebonnet?

Thanks Patti! I'm not sure about the blue on the left either, but I think I have some without. Yes it's a real blue bluebonnet.
