Just found out there is no threads for this awesome lens. Thus i decided to post some samples.
All images are JPGs straight out of camera. Some of the flower shots are shot in macro mode. : )

I agree, I had this lens, bought the 24-70 f2.8, sold the 24-85 Angel Leal, bought the 24-85 back from Angel and sold the 24-70 f2.8.
Yes, I know people will say how much better the 24-70 2.8 is, but I like the 24-85 so much more. I use the 24-85 f2.8-4 for events, weddings, and a fair amount of portrait work.

I had one when I first got into digital with the D70s bodies. I tried to go all zoom but I am a prime lens fan so I sold it after a year and a half. The variable aperture, when using flash, was a pain to calculate. Also, it had more flare than I wanted. I got stuck once shooting indoors at a wedding. All of the bridesmaids were helping to put on the bride's dress. I stood up on a chair pointing the camera down but the lens just was not wide enough on the DX body to get them all in. Using a 20mm with the 24-85 worked so much better. It is a nice walkabout lens though and I miss it for that reason.
