Taken at Phoenix International Raceway.

Opinion: By far Nikon's most versatile lens. If you only have one lens to put on that Nikon body, make it this one! Sports, portrait, wedding, event you name it - the 70-200mm can handle it. Image quality is outstanding. There's some slight vignetting on the D3 (and most likely the D700) but these can be controlled via the camera and Nikon Capture NX software. This is the lens that lives on my camera.

Example:

Nikon D3 : @200mm : 1/800th : f9 : 200 ISO : Matrix metering

Here are a few of mine.... (EXIF should still be in the images)

It's very hard to pick just a few since this lens hardly ever leaves my camera body.

A couple of my favs from the 70-200 VR, DX bodies. Still love the lens on FX...actually love it even more...perfect range when sometimes it was just too long on a DX body. Will post some from FX later. Exif should be in the images.

Taken with manual focus.. at minimum focus.

Taken with a Canon 500d closeup filter attached...yeah...Canon does at least have the 500d.

And one of my all time favs:

Magnificent lens, worth every penny you paid for it. Mine goes everywhere with me in the camera bag.

Excellent photos Ben. I am in the market for the lens but finding a new one is becoming very difficult.

Arghhhh! Scott!... you're killing me. I don't have enough time in the day as it is and now you've sent me off looking through tens of thousands of photos looking for my favorite 70-200VR images. There went 10 hours. I couldn't really decide so I create an entire gallery for some of my favorites... I ended up only making it through about 10K images before my wife forced me off of the computer.
