Seems there is a lot of interest in this lens and relatively few samples on the net, I know my images on PBase that are tagged with the 24 PC-E seem to get 3-4 times as many hits as any other lens. Here are a few samples, it's an excellent lens.

You need TWO of these lenses............
send one back to Nikon, and have them re-assemble it by 90 degrees so the tilt and shift are in the same plane "tilt and rise" | | | |

Bryan,
Don't be jealous. You'll be tilting and shifting and swinging pretty soon.

| Just that at 24mm, it doesn't take as much tilt as you might think to extend DOF towards infinity: a degree or two will usually be plenty unless you're quite close to the foreground. Here's a pretty good article that covers using tilt/shift adjustments: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tu...using-ts.shtml
On the newer cameras (D3, D300, D700, etc), twist the aperture ring on the lens all the way to 'L', and then you'll be able to set the aperture from the camera (which I find is more convenient since you'll have 1/3 stop increments). For older cameras you'll have to use the aperture ring on the lens to set the aperture.
One other thing, in Live View these PC-E lenses are always stopped down (as if DOF preview were pressed). So it's best to get in the habit of focusing with the lens wide open so that the DOF doesn't hide a focusing error. Then stop down before shooting. Unfortunately the stop-down button on the lens doesn't work in LiveView either, you have to change the aperture control (either on the camera or lens, depending how you're using it).

Sh*t! still haven't been able to use the lens due to work, work, more work, and some more work. It now looks like April before I can use it.
