My Three Years on TPF!

Well this week marks my 3 year anniversary on TPF! When I started this journey, I was looking for information on lighting. But what I found were mentors to help me, a home for my passion, and family to share it with! I find inspiration on this forum everyday and any minimal success I have, I owe to TPF!

In celebration of my anniversary, I am posting the first pic I ever posted on TPF and the last pic I posted. Ironically, they both have the same props! LOL

And.....Capt. Tom....Your right, I did suck!

So for all of those who think they will never *get it*.... I am proof that you can, it just takes a while! (And you never stop learning...EVER)

Congrats, I was just talking to Janice the other day and commented on how much you'd improved since I first met you less than 2 years ago. Watching people grow is fun and inspirational. Someone much more recognized than me said, "Success is a journey, not a destination." Wishing you good travels as your journey continues.

Haha Renae! That first one is AWFUL! Its oof, blown whites, posed wrong (Easter pics need to show off the dress) and the backdrop is hideous!

but i think it is very good encouragement for the newer people coming up...the see really nice onces and are afriad to put their bad photo out their because they aren't any good...I personally think it's what makes this forum fun, is to see really good photographers hand out knowledge like candy and see pleolp holding their heart out on a stick ready to get tortured and they take it...and next week, go back for more...and eventually with they still with it, they become very good. and make some very nice friends...
