NO definately to 1,2 and 4. I would take them off the selection then select from the remaining. Doing this now rules out #6 for me. I like the bold font in #3. Here is what I would do Pick #3 But have them change the font color to black on the words Bridal Boutique. Then you will have a great logo.... That was easy..... | | | | | Sponsored Links | Premium Members do not see Google advertisements. SIGN UP today and help support our community.

I like your old Logo...I would keep it around....people know you by it...but #5 or #6 would be my choices...and I would weigh 6 more than...5....Just looking at your old Logo next to it they would work together for me.....
Definitely hate #2 looks like a Barbie logo like everyone said...plus...makes you look at the Bust of the Pic....
Good Luck...

#3 Is very simple, elegant, and sophisticated. - Ditto
I would maybe do this one in different colors, maybe add some black as others have suggested. I think this would be great for packaging and branding. I like the scrollwork on #5 better... so I would replace.
#6 I like - but maybe use a different font B... Sometimes all I see is a "13"

I agree with the idea of revamping the old one. Maybe add some lace or something veily as a background to freshen it up a bit. Even some texture. I think it needs a bit more of a modern feel

Thanks for the feedback. I'll post our final logo if we ever finish this. We had them redesign and now we are meshing a few of the logos together. Hoping it looks good when its done.

Here are the new logos they came up with
| Are you working with a single designer? What is his/her feedback/rationale on the different approaches? Is there a rationale for the color choices in these? In #1, is there an explanation of the symbol/icon over the type? | | | |

I think 5 is working the best, though I think it could be just a little less fussy. Remember all the things that this logo will be applied to. Will it print well small (business card), will it print well in black and white (someone photocopies a form or something), will it watermark well, etc.
Hopefully your designer is keeping these things in mind and informing you of limitations of getting too. If your designer is expanding off of #5 I think you'll end up with a elegant tasteful logo.

I prefer the look of the old logo, though I think it could use an update. It looks like it was made a while ago - the quality of the logo isn't superb, but I think this is a good direction to go in if you want people to think your place is elegant and chic. What bride doesn't want to feel like they're going into an upscale boutique for their gown? Of course if this isn't the vibe you'd like your logo to get across I'd go with something more along the lines of #4, which suggests your place is fashionable and fun, but not necessarily a place for upscale shopping.
My next choice I think is #5, though I don't like the gold color of the scrollwork at all. It looks more mustardy than gold, which cheapens the whole effect. The top half of the scrollwork feels a little awkward as well, because of the way it sits close to the text in some areas but not in others - feels a little unbalanced. I also think the scrollwork looks like the artist found some clipart online and slapped it in there. It could look better and more "custom" in my opinion.
My third choice is #4. The colors choices are a little froufrou, but I guess that's part of what weddings are all about, haha :D Also the name of your boutique doesn't stand out very much here. I'm not sure the logo does its job when the name isn't the first thing you see.
4th favorite is #3. I actually think this one is fairly nice, but again I don't like the color choice. It's that mustard thing again. "Belle's" stands out a lot though, which I think is good. Overall the logo is well balanced and clean. If the color choice were different I think this one could potentially be higher on my list.
Numbers 1, 2, and 6 I don't care for at all. #1 looks more like the place where you'd by frilly dresses for little girls. #2 looks like a rockabilly fashion boutique. #6 looks too much like the Bally's logo to me.

| That's too bad. This illustrates the importance of a really good graphic designer over a logo company. A good designer should be able to understand your company's image and really work with you to develop something that's on target. I hope you eventually end up with the right logo. | | | |

You know, Holly, it looks to me like you are not really happy with any of your choices. Maybe it is time to start over again. I'm no artist, so I can't draw what I'm thinking, but you might want to try doing something like this in a fancy font: Belle's
Bridal
Boutique
Or instead of having a "B" on every line, have only one large B
with elle’s
ridal
outique
coming out from the one "B."
I like the font in #4, #5, and #6 (I think they are identical). You might try stacking the name horizontally somehow. I tried it in Word using Edwardian Script IT as the font, and using Size 20 for the one with the "B" on each line. The one using only one "B" used Size 72 for the "B" and Size 24 for the rest of the words.
I agree that you should probably stay away from the mustard color. The colors in #4 are all right and give the logo a bit of femininity to it, which is always good for bridal stuff . Simple black, with or without some shades of gray, might be all right too. If you are going to use a fancy font, you'll want to maintain an air of elegance.
Just my two cents.

Voted for 3, but 5 would suffice, but I also like the old logo.
Based on your marketing (designer gowns, "couture", etc), I'd suggest gong with a classy "old world" feel that would appeal to the cultured part of society and to those wanting to appear cultured.
I'd avoid the cartoonish or "web 2.0" (like #1) styles for your market.
