The Widelux is my favorite camera and the one camera I would take with me on vacation, whether film or digital.

A 24mmx59mm digital sensor would cost a boatload of money if a Digi-Widelux were ever made.

It seems that what manufacturers are doing instead is developing a sweeping-pano mode in their digicams by the use of burst-frame shooting and in-camera stitching. e.g., the Sony HX-1 : http://www.dcviews.com/press/sony-hx1.htm. I'd like to try one of these out, in the future.

Still, nothing beats doing a real-time panoramic scene with a swing-lens camera like the Widelux.

I was very surprised to find a repair company for them.

Precision Camera Works.

Here you go a 6x17 digital panorama camera.
