....This? Why I could make a hat, or a brooch, a pterodactyl. . .

...one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies.....
**********
Now that I've lowered any expectations, here's a little mental exercise I find myself doing far too often. I'm sure a good therapist could help, but....

So, Doc, I'm sitting by the tracks, waiting for a train that never comes. I'm sure it's Freudean. A power pole nearby has some numbers on it. I make mental stuff from the numbers.

Here's what I get:

3-2-7-3-7-6

the 1st two (3, 2) multiplied give you six, the number after six is 7.

CORRECTED:
Now you have a really popular airplane.....737....
Start over....the 1st two multiplied give 6....

yeah, it's weak....

what can you make with this mental floss? (extra credit for using octal or logs...).

stop when you smell smoke.

2*3=6
6+1=7
7-3=6

7-3=6 nope

Lat operation is 2*3 (1st two) =6 (repeat of the 1st operation, which in theory could be a repeating number, or iow, an endless loop.)

I guess I'm confused by this part:

Quote:
Subtract 3 from the 7 to get six

first two numbers give you 5... the next two give you 10... then the third two, add the '2' numbers give you 15...

yeah, i do it too...

I also count trees, and dashes, and railroad cars, and add those up... it's a sickness... but it's nice to know that I'm not the only numbers wierdo.

Did I mention I hate math???

I think she means the following:

3+2=5
7+3=10
5+10=15

ah.

ln (673723) = ln (31)+ln(103)+ln(211) It's the sum of the natural log of 3 prime numbers, the result is a transcendental number.
