People SUCK! - 05-28-2009, 07:08 PM

Our house got broke into this afternoon! They took all of Jeff's Playstation 3 stuff, his PSP, Jewelry (pieces that can not be replaced, because they were one of a kind designs) and MY ENTIRE CAMERA BAG~! They got my 5D, 24-105 L, 70-200 f.4 L, my light meter, flash, triggers, Everything! Jeff and I are guessing they got away with about 15 grand worth of stuff! I'm so mad I could SPIT! We have home owners and my business policies, but just the thought that theses %&$*%*%^&#@#)*$%#@)%&$@&%@)#*$ Creeps were in my house! We are washing on the bedding, cuz we can tell they sat on our bed. I feel like I should lysol my entire house!

You know I was talking with a girlfriend today & she was telling me about all the break-ins around their neighborhood that's happened just in the last month. I'm so sorry to hear about this happening to you & your family. With the economy the way it is, people are doing anything to keep kickin; even if it's damaging other people. :(

Sorry to hear this. When it happens, people feel violated in some sense. The culprits will slip up somewhere and get caught eventually.

Buy a safe big enough to hold your camera gear, jewelry, and other high-priced items.

I can't say what I really feel, or I'll be banned.

It'll be all right eventually.. the creepy factor won't go away for a while, though. :(

You still have each other.. and the pets weren't hurt.. and they didn't destroy what they couldn't take with them (like the TV) .. so that's good.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I don't think anything makes me madder than to have something stollen from me and that's a bad one. They are creeps. Like my 12 year old said when he was 6, "if God would let me hate I would hate those guys."

OMG - how freaking awful! I'm so sorry to hear that. We were broken into a few years ago - okay, quite a few years ago - it was right after I moved into Houston from Guam... and didn't know that the townhouse I was renting wasn't in a 'nice' area... and they took all the electronics - we moved. I couldn't deal with it.

Wow. I'm very sorry to hear that Heather. I sure hope you manage to get all your belongings back. Make sure the police have the serial numbers if you haven't already given it to them.

So sorry to hear about that. People like that do suck. Someday, they will get what's coming to them. Karma.

I don't have a 5D, but I have a Nikon you can borrow, if you need one.

I'm so sorry Heather. I know the frustration you feel.
And unless the police would have caught them red handed, they won't be of much help...except to file the report your insurance company will want.
It's soooo frustrating!!!!!

There was a bike thief in Austin that just got sentenced... a coworker of mine was one of the ones hit by him. Best advice - check pawn shops and craigslist locally. You might find that needle.

Sorry to hear about it either way.

That is horrible, I'm sorry this happened to you guys. I've had my car broken into so many times I've lost count. I'd freak if I knew someone had been in my house though.
