Cool list. I can vouch for number 13, about the backpack as airbag. In fact, I'll recommend to folks to get an internal frame backpack so you've got no hard edges, and prop it on your lap between you and the seat in front of you. You can then lean forward on it to sleep, and when someone throws a big rock at the front window of the bus to stop it, and it smashes the window, and glass goes everywhere, you're the only person without a lot of cuts. I was about 4 rows back from the driver, and had a couple cuts on my right forearm.
