I have had an unbelievable week

and not really in a good way...

started off on Wednesday with my mom going to the hospital for surgery (she has cancer and this is the first operation to remove all the affected organs)

Friday, I was told my services were no longer needed at my place of employment, so I find my self without a job -- mixed blessing I suppose with all the hospital and family stuff going on.

Fast forward to today, where we find out my mom is coming home from the hospital...

Get home where my grandmother has been living with my mom and dad for the past two years, decides she is going to dive butt first through the 6' x 6' plate glass window in the living room of the house. She emerges from that train wreck completely unscathed...

There have been so many people praying for my mom the past days, that I think with her getting discharged that we had a few prayers of safety and deliverence from danger left over that my grandmother got the benefit of today.

Did I mention that my Grandmother is 93 years old and has soft bones...

I laughed all the way to home depot picking up the wood to cover the window at the absurdity and pure miracle of the whole situation.

If I can make it to Friday, I think I can make it through anything...

Well Kent. Bad for you, but it sure makes my week seem like a day at the beach....

Grandma is lucky. That would be a horrible way to go.
I want to go quietly in my sleep, unlike the rest of the people riding in my car.

All I can say is that if my day starts to go bad, I will think what you have had to face this past week. I sure hope you have a turn in luck (or fate, fortune, destiny, ???) from this day forward.

well my week was last week...I'm sorry your week is this week..!! I spent the entire weekend in a the Sheraton in Austin and only came out once for food....I came out Sunday with a much better outlook on life. Find what you need and take some time for yourself next week...life will look better...

It may be that the sole purpose of my life is to serve as a warning for others... :)

and I totally agree that for sure during these trying times is when God has my back and is watching over me and my family.

instead of flowers, I gave my mom some prints yesterday (even though she is home from the hospital already)
