Reliable service? Don't know what Houston is like, but I don't have any AT&T issues in the circles I travel.

Houston is one of the biggest markets that AT&T has right now - they just had almost 30 techs from Austin come in, for over a month, to try to catch up on the Uverse orders...

I don't have any issues with my iphone though in Houston - I use that sucker like a crack addict.... it's BAD!

Lol. Those pictures are horrible. If anything it just looks like the 3.0 OS which comes out this summer.

I've had the iPhone almost since it came out. I've had my 3G since it was released. I have zero issues with their coverage.

As for a new model, I fully expect that it'll come out the same day as the 3.0 firmware is released.

The only thing that I saw that peaked my interest is the matte black finish. I like it. I'm not buying another one just for a 3.2 mp phone camera.

My company will still not allow us to have them since the data on board is not encrypted and not policy controllable remotely. Sigh...

I understand the reasoning, but I still want one. I just don't want to carry 2 phones. Probably grab a BB Bold or something eventually.

the features of the 3.0 Firmware alone should be a good enough reason to ditch the 1st gen iPhone. It won't support a couple of the features, only the 3G and anything released this year.

I got to play with HTC Magic (new google phone) last week, and that thing rocks. It addressed most of the iphone's lack from the last two gen. A hell lot better hardware than Google's G1. Watch out, Iphone.

I'm curious as well. Many companies have claimed to have the next new iPhone killer...and all have FAILED.

AT&T service on my Blackberry works fine for what I use it for (even the crummy Edge network). But when it's time to upgrade, maybe I'll finally go for an iPhone.

Upgrading to a new cel phone every year is the utmost in wastefulness and frivolity. I hate this disposable culture that Apple has wrought unto the mobile phone.
