if some one to say it takes the best bokeh pictures ive seen, what does it mean...

The wikipedia entry defined bokeh as "a photographic term referring to the appearance of point of light sources in an out-of-focus area of an image produced by a camera lens using a shallow depth of field." A mouthful! The bokeh is a function of the lens and the aperture. A lens has good bokeh if out of focus areas, normally in the background, appear soft and uniformly blurred. The Wikipedia entry talks about how aperture and bokeh are related.

cheaper quality lenses can have a distracting "out of focus" background, due to factors such as the shape/number aperture blades and the glass. Some backgrounds will look more like out of focus pentagons than soft circles.
