The camera I used for this shot is waterproof to 13 feet for 2 hours. I just got it a few days ago, so I was testing it.

I'm not too worried about snakes. They've left me alone, so far.

However, I did go swimming with my Canon 20D held in one hand. That's a nuisance. Much easier with the waterproof camera.
