I think the Cust. Service Dept at B&H has a restraining order on me now - (long read)

This is a discussion on I think the Cust. Service Dept at B&H has a restraining order on me now - (long read) within the Open Talk forums, part of the General Information category; Marv - that's classic. I'm sure you brightened Yossi's day - I know I smiled nonstop while reading it....

Sounds like the conversations I used to have with telemarketers when I was bored. See how long you could keep them on the line. When you get tired you just end it with an applicable phrase:

Window/Roof/Siding sales: "Cool, I want to set an appointment - when your guy gets to my apartment building, tell him he has to ask the doorman to ring suite 8A, I'm the first door on the right when your guys get off the elevator (if it's working that day) on the eight floor."

Health Insurance: "Heck, sign me up Bubba! I've needed some een-shore-ance since I got dye-ag-noused with liver and kidney failure after that accident at Hooters"

Re-Mortgaging / Home Loans / etc: "Hallelujah! After that latest bankruptcy I didn't think I'd ever get a loan again. My sister Beulah Mae says they closed down a crack house right across the street from her and it be for sale now. I's goona get dat one!"

Good one! You go up to NYC and you'll LOVE the place. I've been there and it is a place you can spend hours and dollars--by the hundreds! Just don't go on Saturday--it's the Sabbath and they're closed. Also, I'd check their ad or website for days that they're closed (most Jewish holidays). I found this out the hard way--and ditto for Adorama's store.

Heheh = I am hitting NYC at the end of the summer with the wife (she has school up there and will be tied up for a few days). She asked if I'd be able to find things to do by myself during her school hours. I said "1) Camera - several days no problem. 2) B&H Showroom, one day no problem"

Marv,
What a hoot!
I used to supervise a LiveChat team back when it was still a new tool. We used to save chats that were special - funny, dumb, and just plain weird. B&H might end up framing yours!

I'd suffer from overload if I spent more than a day. Plus I already had to promise to leave the credit cards with the wife (and I get to hold them whenever we are near 5th avenue)

Yossi told me that the next time you order something from B&H, he's going to ship it to ME.
