Nope not Texas Andre.
Wayne, you are so right about Quanah. Nothing tall there.
Dan, I'm not worried about being burglarized. This is a girl trip. My husband stayed home and my brother in law is the sheriff

so our house seems to get patrolled more often!!
Nope Tom not Fort Davis either.
Thanks Beth, I see no harm in posting since the home front is covered.
Jake is it dry in East El Paso? It's not dry here!!
Wayne, I'm betting you'd like it here better than your Houston office too!
That picture was one of the many state flags waving on the suspension bridge that crosses the Royal Gorge. I meant to post a picture of the huge cables too, but the INTERNET was sooo slow.
This week I'm on the road for a whirlwind trip that is what my mother calls part of her "bucket list."

When I posted that shot we were in Canon, Colorado. We left Tuesday morning, drove straight though from Quanah, and wandered around the Royal Gorge Bridge. Today we went back and rode the Santa Fe Royal Gorge Train which wanders slowly by the Arkansas River. It was very relaxing and I managed to get a few shots during the two-hour ride. I'll share as soon as I get some downloaded. My laptop is very slow about downloading from the cards also!
This evening we arrived in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It rained the entire way!!! I WAS NOT HAPPY!

BUT,as we were unloading the car at the motel tonight, I saw a double rainbow!! Yeee Haaaa!!

It's still in the camera though.
Next we are off to the Grand Tetons for a few days, then on to Yellow Stone National Park, back through Utah with a drive through Monument Valley and who knows what else before we get back to Texas!! I just hope I survive this trip of her "bucket list"!!!!
I promise to share photos soon.
Just thought I'd clarify my statement above about my home being patrolled more often. I did not want others thinking we get special treatment!! Cause we DON'T! It's not just my home. The officers are patrolling EVERY WHERE more often.
