Does anyone know where to get a Lcd Screen replaced on a Laptop i dropped a few weeks ago . I know its just the screen , And how much am i looking to spend

I have seen some ads in the magazines that are geared to laptops but I don't recall any names.

Now a days everything is modular. Pretty easy to do. Google it, my guess is that you will spend about 200-250 depending on size and brand.

I typically buy a matching LCD (sometimes with the whole frame) off eBay, and swap it myself. It's not difficult at all.

Manufacturers usually want 500+ ... eBay, about 100 to 150 :) I had a dead LCD in my old Dell, and did the eBay deal. Got the entire deal as an assembly -- the LCD, housing, hinges, cable, etc. for $120 shipped. I literally pulled a half dozen screws, unplug, replug, screws back in, give laptop to #1 son (I had already bought my new Macbook Pro) ;)

I think think i am going to do the Ebay thing and make it a July project for me

A generic 17" one installed is about $300.00 for my Toshiba. Just looked at havig it done a month ago. If interested, I will get a number for you. They are located in Garland.
