Chris...this is not quite thermal...it just produces some different images...and gives you a new look on the same subjects..... Thats really neat! I've seen Bruces' photos of the Japanese Gardens before, as well as some others, but they all seemed to have the same tonal qualities. Browns were more red, and greens looked white. It seemed kinda limited at first glance, but you've obviously proven otherwise with the above. I really like the one of the birds on the beach. IR can be a cult like Macro and Glamour photography. We used to shoot with IR film and it was always a crap shoot as to what you might get. Todays cameras are designed to filter out the IR. take those filters away ( IR conversion) and you can get some very interesting and different results. |

I just do it because I like the effect. Chris...I would love to say the birds were a shot I was going for...It was actually by accident that I took that...
