Too bad it'll be squashed in no time. Sad state of things in that country...

I suspect it might, but I really hope the kids in the country finally stand up. They have the means to, being 3/4 of the country's population.

In the meantime, it's making for some fascinating news.

I'm confused... aren't those people standing in front of the Eiffel Tower... that's in Paris... right?

Yeah - this is a protest of Iranians, in Paris...

Yes, most of these pics are a demonstration in Paris.

In spite of holding elections, Iran is not a democracy. These protests will be met with force and come to a quick end. Participants will be paid a home visit. Leaders will be placed under house arrest. A mass, pro-regime rally will be orchestrated to show the world that nothing has or will change. The whole thing will be over in 3-4 days. That's how these things work in a police state.

The last time Iranian students tried to demonstrate, they were met with pre-positioned gangs of regime thugs with bats and chains. There were a lot of broken bones, and no demonstrations since.

I clicked on your link, but didn't really see any "downright amazing" photos... were they supposed to be in the link? If so, there were maybe two amazing shots at best. The rest were pics of people standing around and holding signs.

I'd really like to see more photos from Iran - many of those in the series are from the US (ie San Francisco)
