computer volume

so I screwed something up with my volume?? I was trying to get my microphone to work with a workout watch --another story--and now when I go on youtube, my volume won't work?? I'm on a laptop so I usually hit function and the up and down arrow..I hear my inbox ding...but no sound on youtube. I'm so technical...can you tell???? any suggestions??

Double click on the Volume Icon that is in the task bar on the right.

Or go into Control Panel and double click on sound Mixer Icon. Turn up the volumes.

Make sure your microphone isn't hooked into your headphone jack

you best behave yourself young man. I've woke up with a migraine three nights in a row!!! I restarted the computer ...??? these damn things are just a little too particular some days. They must have some estrogen in them.
