That's just it.. why should they have to restrain themselves?

I'm sorry, but they are endangering public safety and the lives of those around them. This isn't a celebration, its a riot. As far as I'm concerned, deadly force would be acceptable.

A couple of rioters shot and it would calm down quick.

Or perhaps it was just the fine people of Dallas trying to stop Leon Lett from celebrating - god knows what he might accidentally do!

I knew I liked you for some reason.

I am pretty hard core when it comes to crime. I have no tolerance for lame excuses why one committed it either.

A few thoughts;

Yes, looting a shoe store is all about your team winning.

The drivers of the vehicles being attacked forgot something... press hard on the accelerator.

Some of the photos are o.k., but some are horrible from every aspect (PJ, technically, etc.)

And, none of this surprises me. I've been in riots before and it's like being in the midst of animals.

I need to see stuff like this every once and a while. I was fortunate enough to be living on the outskirts of the craziness during the LA riots, but my neighbors and I were locked and loaded just in case. This craziness serves as a reminder, and is just one of the many reasons why I moved my family from LA to Texas. In LA the anarchy always seems to be there, lurking just below the surface, waiting for an excuse to erupt.

As I recall, the Rockets have won a title or two, haven't they? Did anything like this happen in Houston after they won?

Nope. Fix violence with a swift and lawfully acceptable consequence for their actions. If you are endangering the lives of others around you then lethal force can be used. If you come on to my property and start throwing trash cans through my window, guess who will be shot? Now guess who would have the legal standing to do so?

I think one of the reasons the police didn't use that kind of force here is it probably wouldn't have stopped the riots, they would have become more intense! "Those good for nothing pigs just killed someone for celebrating! Let's show them riots!"... and let's not even imagine if it was a white cop shooting a black criminal!

Exactly.
Had they had shot and killed one of they rioters(I mean celebrators) it could of made matters much worse and the police know that.

I blame the demographics. I still wonder why people get destructive and want to burn things, blow things up, beat up people in order to celebrate victory.

I guess that is why I like San Antonio Spurs, when they win everything is simple and orderly. Unlike Atlanta, LA, and other areas like that....

Kobe SUCKS (even though he is a good player...as a human, he SUCKS)

and Rashard Lewis went from my high school straight into the NBA :)

I definitely think those fans have it wrong. For the record, I plan on inciting a riot if the Texans DON'T MAKE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS
