Or in english, that would total $61,141.30. D3x = 8,152.17; D3 = 5,434.78; 14-24mm = 2,173.91.

The local police must have been too busy harassing innocent photographers on the street to have time for a "petty" matter like this.

This just sets my teeth on edge:
"However, a third order was received and a taxi again sent to collect, Robert White explains. 'This would have been an ideal opportunity to track the goods to their destination in London but the police were not interested in following that line. We feel that an opportunity to recover our goods and apprehend someone was lost, leaving us very frustrated with the police"
Ummm.... YES.... VERY frustrated...

It's really hard to be totally sympathetic with a dealer that isn't wise enough to confirm the order on the first go around. While not raising suspicions initially, there are too many scam artists that are becoming more sophisticated to not make the effort to verify a deal that large. I hope the cops catch the thief and the goods are returned. Remember what PT Barnum said. | | | |

The lack of support from the police, along with widespread photographer harassment in London, are strong indications of the anti-photography sentiment in the UK.
