... go to Walmart and use the quick print kiosk! GEES!

So I got bored this afternoon and thought "lets just see." Well after searching a few nearby print places and figuring out I had missed the same day deadline of 10am, I decided "oh hell, lets just go to Wally World, see what happens... I need to get a few things anyway." WRONG IDEA!

Not only do you have to endure the pain of an entire line of people wanting to print gawd awful pictures that they took of their kid sitting on the end of a bed with a dish towel on their head, or the ones they took of last weeks prom with the kids all 'decked out' in front of the fireplace with so much wall around them you can barely see their faces; the printing machine is just horrendous. It cropped my pics, printed them brighter than if I had taken them on face of the sun, and just completely obliterated them all the way around.

Good thing it was only 68 cents worth of prints... guess you get what you pay for! Oh well, nothing lost and I got to kill an hour of time.

The checkout lady in the 'photo lab' said that there wont be any more 35mm film made after 2012. Should I throw out my goal of setting up a darkroom? hmmmm.....

Why would you ever think a Wal-Mart Drone would know anything about film?
If so why has Kodak introduced a new film base this year?

Besides you can make your own plates if you do 4x5.

John, I love your seriousness. Lighten up buddy! Do you really think I trusted anything the lady at Walmart said?

I knew she didn't have a clue when she kept saying "ISO" over, and ove,r and over, and over again. It was apparent that it was the only 'technical' term she knew.

Look at the other film types made from the same base stock: as long as there's still a demand for those, 35mm will still be around. I would definitely recommend setting up a darkroom, though, as I don't expect 1-hour processing to last much longer, and you can't get anything but mail-out for true B&W film anyway.

Right... she also told me that in order to get a black background I need to raise my ISO as high as it will go and turn on my flash. Its a good thing I was only going for milk!

So which wally world did you go to? it would be funny to go there and start messing with ppl there, though i am an a$$ at times.

The mayans don't believe anything will last beyond 2012. or they think we will kill each other off by then, who knows.

Its much more likely that the guy who's duty it was to create the myan calander got to 2012 before he said to himself "WTF?! I'm not gonna be around to see this...let someone who cares do it!"

My theory is that since it is a shown as big circle, they just picked a diameter and ran with it.

Wanna mess with Wally World film processing... shoot a roll of film for ha ha's then take it to them and tell them that you pushed the ISO, so they need to take that into account when processing...

"Whaddaya mean pushed?"

LOL
