Ok. Oly has and always has had a hand in the pro field. It's not that big but the pros that use Oly are using them for quality reasons and not because it's the most popular camera on the market. I currently own an OM-1, OM-2, OM-4, and OM-10 as well as an Xa, all film and I also have an E-500 that has given me a ton of excellent service. I still have all of my Zuiko glass from the old days and I have the adapter that lets me use it on E system cameras. I, more often than not, find myself digging them out for a shoot and it's not that hard at all to shoot moving images with a manual focus once you understand DOF and Hyperfocal distances. Having a bit of practice focusing helps too. In essence, I've been shooting Olympus for 31 years and I've never been disappointed. |
