Lisa, I was glad to know my warrior character would is Jonas Blane, had I known that 21 years ago I might have stayed in the national guard for my 20 years. I just ignore the rest of it and feel sorry that they have no life and spend all thier time on fb.

I grew up in Deer Park. Hubby is from Bohemia. You guys are out by him...with the horses. lol. And I remember wanting to go to stuff in Massapequa and my mom thought it was too far. Once she passed Lindenhurst, she thought she was in the city. lol.

accept the friend request, then build a friend "group" and put them in it. Change your privacy settings so they can't see your wall posts and comments to your wall posts.

Then, when you want to post something on your wall that is friendly for "all", make it a 'note' and post to your wall. It will be visible to those in your blocked friends group; whereas your general status updates will be visible to only friends who are NOT in that blocked group.

Had to do this with co-workers, especially my stalker-boss.

-------------------------------

And then I hit submit and saw how many responses have already been made on this thread; and someone has probably already pointed this option out... sorry!

After some thought, and in a very friendly way, I "un-friended" my nieces after talking to them about it. After I saw some of their pictures of college-kid parties I knew my sister would die if she saw the pics, and that she would want me to show her their accounts. I decided if a mom wants access then she needs to get it directly from the kids and not through the aunt. I really don't blame kids who say no, this is for my friends and me only at least till I get out a little older. They can clean up their own image, maybe, but they can't control what their friends say on their wall and what pics their friends tag them in. I have no doubt FB has ruined some lives! I haven't had to ignore any friend requests yet but I'm prepared to do so if necessary. I look at them as someone asking me a question -- should we be friends here -- to which it's OK to say no.

I know at least two people who got fired for blogging, one was a little loose about how much she hated her job and the other simply mentioned her place of employment. Now that sites like FB and Twitter are so popular and make it easier to search for someone, it's probably gotten more common. I have an online presence (on here, too), but by golly we've all got real lives to live, too! Get off the computer!
