Would anyone be willing to - 06-19-2009, 12:10 AM

send me some seasoning that as far as I know can only be gotten in TX?
I can paypal the money to cover the spices and shipping. I was gonna ask Mel to bring some to the wedding but I think she is already on her way.
If anyone is willing I will get the name and post it.
I just refuse to eat Tilapia without it and can't find it any where around here.
Thanks :D

OK it is Geoffrey Michael's original in the orange colored label. I am pretty sure it is just "original" as I have the red (cajun) and the green (vegetable, Nasty btw).
I greatly appreciate it Tom.
If you don't mind I would like 4 bottles. Just let me know what it would cost and no hurry as I won't be back here until the first. So just some time when you are at HEB.

I understand Mel :D
Thanks Tom, I only said HEB cause in Corpus that was the only option besides Walmart and the Commissary. And HEB is the only place I recall seeing it. It is made or distributed in Waco lol.

Eh... you dont need no Geoffrey Michael stuff.

Just throw some Tony Chacheres and Tabasco on it! Tony's is good on ANYTHING! (...and yes I'm a bred, born, raised, and registered Cajun!)

Thanks for the link Joe.
Hey Tom apparently it is the "miracle" one. I think they have changed the names as mine specifically says Cajun breakdown spicy cooking instead of caliente pepper.
Larry it is the only seasoning I want on any of my fish, I am not a fish eater and didn't eat it at all until we got to Corpus. Very nice flavor when you grill the tilapia :D

haha Chris, we NEVER tried it. I have heard people rave about it though.
And for the hot sauce we have plenty of that too 32 oz of Texas pete and Franks red hot right now lol I put that on a lot of stuff too but on fish eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww lol.

I can relate. I just ordered a case of Grandma Browns baked beans from upstate NY.
They are the very BEST. Only found in upstate NY.

By the way, if anybody is up for the best classic BBQ seasoning ever, you should try Texas BBQ Rub. It is just perfect IMO.

Tony's is great! A bit salty though. I always want to add more Tony's but if I add too much the dish is too salty. It likes to toy with my emotions that way.

Breezy, next time you are in the Norfolk commissary, they have another brand of salsa that is guaranteed to light up your life. Shotgun Willie's Hotter than Hell sauce. It actually comes from Texas but I first saw it in the Commissary there.

It absolutely KILLS my husband that I reach for Tony's - regardless of what I'm cooking..... we have TWO SHELVES of spices.... and I don't use 95% of them... he is of course, the cook in the house... lol... and must have 14 bazillion spices.
