Just venting - 06-19-2009, 09:37 AM

Put in an order (17-55mm f/2.8 and 80-200mm f/2.8) @ B&H for overnight delivery early yesterday morning. I called it in just to be sure I can get it for an event tomorrow. I find out this morning it won't arrive until Monday.

I'm just another statistical error....I'm just venting...

Call B&H ASAP and ask to talk to Henry Poser. Henry is the Fix-it guy for customer problems...

It was my Seinfeld moment with them...felt like telling them they know how to take overnight delivery orders, they just don't know how to "ship" the order, and that's the most important part of the order.

But what can you do :-(

yup, most places have 'processing time' which is total bs to me. what is there to 'process'? does it really take that long to get a box, put a lens in it, fill with packing peanuts and create the ups airbill on the computer?

Call and explain the situation, even if you can't get overnight service, cancel that and get a refund for standard ground.

Thanks! I called them and customer service was actually pretty good about it, but it still doesn't help. I was mainly frustrated because I spent several a big chunk of change on equipment hoping to use it instead of renting. Unfortunately, LightTec didn't have anything to rent, so I'll do with what I have.

Luckily it's not a wedding.

I tried to chat with them the other day. I was informed I had to email and would have a reply withing 24 hours. I got an email over 5 days later.
And I buy 75% of my stuff from them.
