A new project - 06-19-2009, 12:44 PM

During my second deployment, I did the 365-day challenge with self-portraits to help my folks maintain their sanity. It was fun, sometimes. Having been back from Iraq for a little over a year now, I've found myself not using my camera nearly as often as I should. To solve that, I've decided to do another project for a year. This time, I'm going to see if I can give a better look at who I am, and what makes me tick. The theme is "The World I Know", because that song was playing when I decided to do this. A photo a day, of something that has a significant place in my life. A few self-portraits may sneak their way in, but I don't intend for that to be a frequent thing.

Flickr Set Here

If you follow the set, I'd love some feedback. Each photo will have a story to go with it.

That's a really cool idea... I wonder if I could talk my husband into doing that?? How'd you post them/upload them?

It sounds like a great project.
Be sure to share it with us. I for one will look forward to the results.
Thanks and take care of yourself.

I just used flickr, I had to resize the photos to a pretty small size so they'd upload in a reasonable amount of time over satellite.

Thanks, I enjoyed it the first time around. I may be able to do some more creative work here since nobody (that I know of) is trying to kill me. :)

I'll get the motorcycles in there at some point too! Being back has been great. I still find myself doing things in a somewhat SGTly fashion, but at least now the only life I'm responsible for is my own.
