And I was wishing I could learn HDR at least better than I know it now.

Problem solving is an essential tool of a photographers kit. Never is the solution more HDR. Molten ketchup in my eyes, washed out with lemon juice and lighter fluid and lite on fire with an old cigar is more pleasant to my eyes than anything in HDR.
This is because the writer has never seen HDR done right. Most HDR images that I've seen are hyper-processed so they look unnatural. When it's done right, you don't know it's HDR.

Roy, keep working at it. You'll get the results you want.

Hah! How about lame photographers websites look that are soooooo busy, with so much flash and animation just to flip through pictures. Drives me nutz. They remind me of a busy animated PowerPoint converted into a photo website.

You should send that one in as a suggestion. I'll add that music on photography sites annoys me, particularly some of the sappy song choices.

Click on the "What? Who?" and you'll see:

"...First off, calm down. It's all done in fun. I wouldn't say any of these things if I weren't guilty of them myself (I own 3 variations of fog filters, honestly)...."

I have to admit I'm guilty of some of those myself. ;)

If the bride likes the "Ring in the Bible" shot, it doesn't matter how many times it has been done, the other 15 bajillion versions aren't HER ring on HER wedding day. It's not about the photographer; get over yourself. A disclaimer doesn't hide the underlying air of self righteousness....
