From the Nikon manual:

Quote:
!Using the Diopter Control

When operating the viewfinder diopter control with your eye to the viewfinder, care should be taken not to put your finger in your eye accidentally.

...wonder how much THAT lawsuit cost?

Well, they are writing a manual for Nikon users... Is there any instruction about bathing regularly, or not playing with matches?

(just kidding)

Probably less than the one from this warning on a curling iron:

For external use only.

WTH do you think someone was doing with their curling iron to have that kind of warning put on one?

Darwin has been thwarted......

sometime read the Caution: Explosion label on a Dr Pepper bottle (not can). It's too long to reproduce here, but you can safely assume lawyers and Darwin candidates were involved.

actually about 25 years ago my brother-in-law represented a client that was injured when she grabbed a bottle of dp off the shelf of a grocery store. the bottle cap came off and cut her right below the eye. I thinks she got about $10k

Another warning that you wonder who was the person that caused it..
On Preparation H warning says "not to be taken internally"
