I dunno about all you folks, but I am so ready for the long weekend. I'm heading out to the Colorado mountains near Crested Butte and Rocky Mountain National forest to shoot some rocks and stuff.

Happy to get out of this blasted heat, and give my camera a few thousand actuations.

Where are all you fools going?!?!?!

Going to visit my other set of parents. Plus, I used to live there for four years and have a ton of friends.

I spent a total of 9 years in the Albuquerque area; my family moved there in 1981. I graduated from high school and junior college in Albuquerque. My Mom and step-Dad moved from Albuquerque to Deming last year. I moved to Texas in 1994, but I've often visited since then. I've seen a lot more of New Mexico since I moved to Texas than I ever did when I lived there.

haven't decided. Don't want to fight the crowds at Busch Gardens, Town Pointe Park in downtown Norfolk is supposed to have a big show but it has been closed for a year and reopens tomorrow. Va beach traffic is horrendous on holidays so way I am fighting it.
So the short answer is don't know yet lol.

I lived in Norfolk and Virginia Beach when I was in the Navy. That was when I first decided that all city planners should die. They intentionally caused those traffic jams. When I found a way around the jams, they put down concrete barriers to prevent use of that route. They had 7 lanes of traffic in one direction (5 in the other) narrow down to a 2-lane bridge, and that was the only way to get from Virginia Beach to Norfolk.

Haha Richard, I completely agree with you.
DH and I have agreed we will not retire here, I truely despise this place mainly because of traffic. Crappy commands don't help lol but traffic is #1. That was one plus in Corpus, for the amount of people it could get bad but nothing like here.
I would rather drive in DC or LA than here.

And after most of 15 yrs there, I htink that the original roads in Norfolk were laid out by Cattle.

Breezy, it will be crowded but if you havent done it, 4th of July at Colonial Williamsburg is really a treat.. lots of photos of cannon fire and the Continental troops marching on the green.
