Unhappy Another Death- Karl Malden - 07-01-2009, 03:30 PM

Dead at 97, he was in the Streets of San Fransisco.

He was a good actor, didn't realize that he was quite that old, though the TV series was over 30 years ago.

One of his best movie rolls was in On the Waterfront but he was also in Patton, One Eyed Jacks, A sTREETCAR NAMED dESIRE, Gypsy, How the West Was Won, and Wild Rovers along with many other movies.

I remember him in Nevada Smith. Added grit to an otherwise boring flick. Unique individual.

He was also married to the same woman for 71 years...My favorite role for him was the warden in "Birdman of Alcatraz"...R.I.P...Ben

I very much enjoyed his work. His generation of actors is passing and it's being replaced with junk.
