I see these ad's on CL all the time and always wonder what the quality is. I also wonder if they manufacture their own lighting systems.

I'm not buying... just wondering.

I haven't personally, but a friend mine bought some stuff from there and said it's all pretty good quality and considerably cheaper than anywhere else he looked. He did say there wasn't great customer service, but I guess you get what you pay for.

They have a store front, so if you're really curious you could check it out.

I own two cowboy studio lights with the softboxes, bought them from my buddy who bought them new, I only paid $50 for two of them.

Their cheap, not very powerful, like 150WS, but they get the job done for me. I have three "ebay strobes" with softboxes and umbrellas and I use it to do all my strobist stuff, never had a problem with them.

The cowboy ones are kinda cheap though, my only complaint is the optical slave in it is spotty.

No, I'm just stuck at work and its an empty office. Everyone took their 'holiday' today because the city is closed tomorrow. And there is two of us in here today, and its been very "Q" today.... SHHHHHH!!!! dont say that word, you'll jinx us!

I've already read the B&H catalog... TWICE! Designed a 'challenge coin', and read most everything on TPF... so now I'm on craigslist.
