Meet Teke

[Roy]

After the loss of Shadow we couldn't get used to not having a dog around so we found Teke Monday and now he's got a new home with us.
I'll have to teach him how to hunt of course and who knows how that will go. He's 9 weeks old and has lots of learning to do. Both of his parents
are hunters so I hope that helps. I'm in no rush though. He can be a puppy for a little while.

So far all I know is he will retrieve a small bumper (we only do a couple to keep him wanting it). He likes to get into mischief and he plays a lot.
He's teething. He's very friendly and when he's not doing any of the above he's sleeping. I'm sure it's to recharge those batteries so he can play when he's awake.

If AKC approves the name, his official name will be Gingrock's Tequila Sunrise. We'll call him Teke.

Oh and he has not learned to model like Shadow, so that's something we both have to work on.

Although I have a big ole mutt myself, golden retriever puppies are completely irresistable! He is a handsome little fella. Good luck getting through the puppy stage. For my sister's last golden, that lasted about 2 years! :-D

We have a miniature beagle - who, quite bluntly, is not so miniature at all... lol. ;-)

I've wanted a rottie for years... and I may just get myself one while DH is gone...
