"Liquidation prices" at Ritz would be roughly equivalent to "normal, undiscounted prices" everywhere else.

Not sure there's anybody who wants to absorb Ritz's problems in today's economy. Like the article says, many of the locations are in malls where rents are high and foot traffic is falling off sharply. If Ritz was relying on print sales, it's doomed. As the former employee quoted at the end of the article says, few photographers are having photos printed anymore (present company excepted).

everyone is buying digital point and shoot cameras and emailing their photos to friends and family or putting them on facebook/myspace etc. Nobody relies on the 35mm point and shoot camera anymore.
