The whole chain or just one? Guess I need to check yahoo for news this morning. They always had cool stuff, but they were definitely very pricey.

They made really nice, durable stuff in most cases. That's a bummer if the whole company is going under.

I had a friend who has worked for them for like 15 years. Guess he will be out of a job.

Their website has a sign saying "thanks for 30 great years" and, while not accepting online orders, directs people to their stores. I guess this means the chain, as a whole, is closing, although I still didn't see a story about a bankruptcy. It is sad, they did make very nice stuff and I hate to see anyone lose a job, but I'm sure they've been devastated by the drop in consumer spending on completely discretionary items.

Says Scott's is trying to find a last minute buyer, otherwise the liquidators are coming in.

This totally sucks! I loved that store. It was my Christmas present go to for my whole gardening family. I'm sad about this.
