Five photographers who regularly shoot Polaroid plead the case for a new source of film.

Multimedia presentation.

I've always liked Polaroid for party pictures and goofy pictures because you can give them away immediately. I used to work in a storage lot and I worked with a lot of wrecker drivers, and they would always snap photos of the cars before they towed them off private property, to prove that they were parked wrong or whatever. I don't know what they're doing for that now...the pics had to be turned in (usually to the apt leasing office) at the time of the tow, not later.

Of course, before digicams, there was another good reason to have a Polaroid... ;-)

I grew up in a house with a Polaroid as the main camera. That and an old 8mm video camera.
I have fond memories of my dad always having the polaroid with him, on vacations, trips and just as we were goofing off and growing up around the house. My child photo album is filled with polaroids. They were great and offered an accessibility to a camera that is just unique. I often find myself not taking pictures of my niece and nephew as they grow up because I don't have a P&S, and I don't like dragging out the 5D all the time just to take snaps. It's a shame they stopped producing film, and I hope they re-open a film factory.
Here is said album:

I took this because I was comparing old photo albums with the newer photobooks of today on my blog.
