For quick snaps I use digital P&S, when I try to be creative I use film. Mainly because of the cameras I have, Minolta X700 35mm film and Kodak DX7950 which alows a little bit of flexibility.

In the next month or two I plan or buying everything I will need to develop my own film. After that, I suspect that I will be shooting mostly film...

I learned everything I know on film, and film will always be "better" to me. Digital is sooo much more convenient though... I don't think I will ever stop shooting either one. I also don't think film will ever completely die.

I voted mostly digital, some film. In the 35 mm-size format, I'd say they are almost even as far as image quality.

Maybe it's time we had a film forum here in TPF?

I changed over to a 100% studio in the 90"s after 26 years of shooting film for a living and I have never looked back, okay I do miss the old mechanical cameras, but I don’t miss carding negatives for the lab and I don’t miss hours in the darkroom.
Long live digital, until something else replaces it.

I don't need to tell Y'all how I voted. Do I?

I also developed my own film for years, but I became hooked on digital in 2005. I didn't like waiting to see the shot when I couldn't do my own work. And I didn't like the cost of film and then processing. Now, I know what I have and use my computer for the digital workflow. Goodbye to Kodachrome, may it rest in peace...and yes, as Wayne said, "long live digital until something else comes along".....like maybe, halograms....sgs

Holograms are film and you can do them today....

A more interesting technology could be the Quantum Camera.

Film.... I just spent the most fabulous day going between the 8x10 and the darkroom to process.....

I do carry a little digi p&s... and never remember to use it!

Digital for me is boring. Film involves more thought on the shooters part therefore is more fun for me..

I shoot mostly digital, but some film. I use toy cameras (Holga, Diana, Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim) and have so much fun with them. In fact I just started a Houston film group on Flickr.

There's more film shooters on here than I thought... :)

So far, a little more than half of the voters shoot at least some film.
