When he gets home. He has been eyeing this bike for a while. Well I went in today to see the "deal" they were going to get us. And I walked out with the keys :D
THe only thing I didn't get that I wanted was saddle bags. But I did get the bike down to 11000 which was my goal lol.
And was walking without the helmets and backrest too.

No I didn't, dh may have but I am like him with photography when he starts talking about bikes lol. As long as it looks good, rides good and doesn't break the bank I don't care lol.
This is his Bday, Christmas and Anniversary for sure though lol.
We discussed before he left last week that if it wasn't more than 11000 we would discuss it.
The shop is going to drive it over about a mile or so and it will be in the garage when I go pick him up. Poor guy isn't going to get to ride it though lol as we haven't packed a thing for HI yet and we leave 2 days after he gets home.

Thanks Michael. He deserves it. He sold his Marauder last year right before we left TX. I knew then he only agreed cause he wanted another. And we drive past this particular place every time we go out and it was "blah blah blah" I finally agreed to go in with him last week to "look". HUGE MISTAKE LOL. Too bad it isn't closer to his bday though. If I actually thought it would be there in Oct I would have waited. But it is an 08 so they were motivated to move it in the first place so that helped.
But he is a great guy, he puts up with my photography addiction lol so I can't complain.
I now have to figure out how to get photos of him seeing it. Any suggestions how to "play this out" lol.

You are right Janice but it will be quick as he says I can't pack correctly. You know I don't roll everything and pack 100 pounds in a carry on lol.
Besides the packing, the kids won a lottery to go to motorworld and ride gocarts for 4 hours, and we promised them Harry Potter. I guess I could be mean and make him wait till after the gocarts lol. But then that would be so mean of me lol.

People keep telling me how dangerous it is for me to ride to work. With a 55 mile round trip commute, I'll take my chances. 50mpg beats the heck out of my Aveo at 26mpg with the air conditioner on.

I spent 11 days in intensive care in California because I thought I was a better rider than I was. Hit a rock hauler at about 80mph. Leather boots, blue jeans,
full face racing helmet, leather gloves. Helmet saved my life.

We got 3/4 helmets this time. The last time we had full face but with this bike they just wouldn't look right.
Not sure dh will be riding back and forth to work. Rush hour is the worst around here. If he does it will be awhile as his last bike wasn't this heavy. And it is crazy that it takes 1 hour to go about 9-10 miles every morning. I know it would be better on gas but depending on the pier and which way he goes how stupid the drivers are.
