Who is shooting the 99cent stores 99 cent weddings? - 08-13-2009, 07:07 AM

I just saw on the news that the 99 Cent Store is having 99 Cent weddings on Sept 9, 2009. Complete with wedding dress!

The weddings will take place at it's Wilshire/Fairfax location in Los Angeles, California on 9-9-09 also known as September 9th (or, as they call it the ‘Luckiest Day in the Year’).

According to the company’s website, an ordained minister will officiate at the ceremony, and all the decor will be created from items offered in the store.
Prospective couples have until 24 August to sign up for the deal.

Space is limited!* Image that. I wonder if they will do 99 weddings that day!

You can't even get a disposable camera for $.99. And a marriage license costs more than that too.

There is a .99 store here in Dallas about 2 miles north of Downtown (near Baylor Hospital area), wonder if they will be participating? (BTW they were going to pull out of Texas last year and decided to give it one more try, well that news brought in more customers and they have decided to stay).

Now there's one for the books! I'd say at least the two of you are lucky for each other. Too bad you didn't get married a year earlier on 9-9-99.

Hey you got to remember there are tons of people who shoot weddings for free so I am sure finding someone wasnt that big of a deal........especially if they put that persons website on the bottom of all the pics, and gave them exclusive rights to sell the prints and to the press

The wife and I got married 8/8/08 so we are one of those couples also lol

My aunt's birthday is 7/7, so she spent 7/7/7 in Vegas.

I don't have any $.99 weddings in my portfolio.
I'm sure that I would generate just the right clientele for future references
at the $.99 store.

Maybe I should hold out for the 'All for a Dollar' people ?

.99 cents is the total charge. The photographer would only get a percentage of that, right?

How's about .49 cents to the photographer!

I would shoot it for 99 cents, but the images are going to cost A LOT more (prepaid). Something along the lines of $5,000.99, including travel+room+food in L.A.
