Saw it yesterday with Marc. It got really graphic and at times I had to turn my head. I found the twist interesting and of course it's open for the second movie.

Is it one of those movies you would buy - maybe

Is it one of those movies you would go see again with a friend that hasn't - no

I did find myself thinking yesterday, how would I have made the move better. The dialogue between the pawns and people were less than I expected. I would have loved to see more organization in the pawns; they were together for 30 years and nothing. I expect if there is a remake, I'd like to see their new pawn organizing the different ranks.

i agree, while i liked it - it fell just a bit short for me. my family loved it though. we all throught it drew an interesting parallel to the real situation in johanesburg.. i thought the main character did a great job though

It wasn't what I expected. I guess I ran off and made assumptions from seeing the trailer and thought this would be a summer blockbuster. It probably still will be from all of the advertising, but it fell short of what I expected. I guess I was looking for-well heck I don't really know what I was looking for. I guess maybe a more dramatic conflict between human and alien.

Was it pretty violent? It looks good but it just seemed like it would be pretty graphic.

They were called "Prawns" because they looked like giant shrimp walking on legs! LOL! I thought it was mindless entertainment so I liked it! I don't want to have to think about how this affects that or how this affects whomever, I just want to be entertained and I was for the $5.00 matinee price!

I have to go see it for myself. The opinions are split down the middle.
