There are lots of places to avoid - there's a place, headed from the mall towards I10 - on the right hand side (feeder road) that is kind of a BBQ/Western place - they had delicious food.

Willie Rays barbecue off I-10 West, Calder exit, pass next traffic light, on right side. Make sure you try the carrot casserole side dish, and get the all-you-can-eat buffet for about $12!!! One of my favorite places.
