Excellent book. When I decided to pick up the camera again after many years away, I also picked up this book. I had forgotten a lot of things, and it got me right up to speed.

It's a book you will go back to again and again. Don't just read it once - every few months, pull it out and use it as a refresher until it is completely second nature.

Keep your camera by your side. I found it best to read, then test. Once you get it, move on and read teh next part and test it for yourself.

Has anyone had great success in the field with his "Sky Brothers" and "Mr. Green Jeans" tips?

Yeah, sometimes. However, the book was written before digital got big, so some of the tips are film focused. It would be best to experiment.

Another big fan of the book! Funny this post came up when it did because I decided to reread it again - - for the umpteenth time. It really is a book you can go back to over and over. I always see something I missed before.
