Ok, so next weekend I have to do one of those things I don't normally do, shoot a small wedding for a friend. I went on Youtube looking for some inspiration and different ideas.
Whats the deal with Thriller? I found a slew of videos that had people doing the Thriller dance in them, even tutorials on how to do the dance. In many of the videos it looked like the wedding party was doing the dance as well as many of the attendees and it was well choreographed. Another video had what looked like the catering service employees breaking into a spontaneous Thriller dance, which really seemed kind of cool and unique.
Question to veteran wedding shooters, is the Thriller dance something that has just come into vogue recently or is this just regional fad someplace? In my hometown which was mostly of German ethnicity, the Chicken dance was the big group dance done at weddings. |
