with opening teasing me a mere hours away, let's talk football that really matters, screw the NFL.

I noticed my hawkeyes crept into the top 25 for the pre-season. I'm prepared for a disappointing season from the hawks...but they usually pull out a good game or two (penn state last year?).

My other notables, BYU and Utah. Two other schools I root for. BYU will have a tough weekend up in dallas, will that ruin their season? I say no, but the additional loss at the end of the year vs the Utes will.

I see LSU is over ranked again @ 11, just as their nemesis USC is. LSU fans are quick to point out that USC is loved by the media, but LSU catches the same breaks as USC (need I mention a multiple loss season and invitation to the big dance?). Tigers Bleaux!

I also note that Tebow and his more balls than brains self have worked their way as number. I say worked, but it is expected after the championship last year. These are the days I remember well and dream of.

Most interesting is Virgina Tech and Ole Miss in the top 10?! Can Nutt and his high school trick plays last all season at this spot? Virigina Tech...we will just have to see.

I left Texas for the rest of you to talk amongst yourselves. Any aggie comments stating their world supremecy are not allowed in this thread and I will throw a virtual fart in your general direction for talking such lunacy. Also, no heismann talk.

ahhh....BYU pulled it out. I may eat my words about their loss at the end of the season to the Utes. But, it is always a good game.

The only cool thing about Florida is that Urban Myer came from Utah.

With such a soft schedule, I predict Flordia loses the bowl game at the end of the year. And all the florida fans will cry as they watch tebow and his supermanly self cry in front of the world. Superman? Superman doesn't cry.

very cool, thanks for sharing. We will see why Greene left when we all see Tebow get hurt this season. Well, everyone knows Tebow can't make it in the NFL.

Utah had a good run, and are still a very good team. Oregon is not too bad either.

I am also toasting a beer to the Huskies! Very impressive victory today.

The Tenn / Fla game was better than I expected as well.
