If it just frustrates y'all enough that you just can't take it anymore... I'm in the market for a gently used iphone...

Actually, I couldn't care less about MMS as I never missed it in the first place.

For iPhone users who have received MMS messages to go to the old viewmymessages site, this is HUGE news! AT&T used to take MMS files, upload them to a website, shrink pictures to 1" x 1", and give you a weird name and password to view the picture. And 75% of the time, there would be errors trying to open the file too. So thank goodness for MMS! It's about time! And for any photographer with an iPhone before, it was kinda embarrassing when a free cell phone could send and receive when the iPhone couldn't......

Anyways, I installed the carrier update through iTunes(AT&T5.5) and can receive MMS without problems. The only way I can send them is with 3G and WiFi off(weird but goes through every time). I hope that helps out anyone that may have a problem....

you just have to update the carrier settings, takes about 14 seconds.

So how does an iPhone 2g compare to a 3g? Is it slower?

My friend upgraded to the 3gs over the weekend and I'm buying his old 2g for $50. I'm due for an upgrade in 6 months and I didn't see the point in spending the money for a brand new one, when I can use this one until I am eligible for the full discount.

I dont usually do picture messaging so I doubt I'll miss this MMS stuff until then. I could probably cut off two fingers and still count on one hand how many times I've sent a picture message.

Nevermind...I am responding from the new(old) iPhone.
